You are, of course, a minor lifesaver (or at the very least a sanity-saver)
. I had changed the default reader encoding from "Automatic selection" to
1252, due to a problem reading Amazon.com, which apparently produces 1252
and does not mark it as such. Or something.
Anyhoo, I set it back to "Automatic selection" and I managed to read my
original message to this thread. I'm going to do a test reply to it, too,
just for curiosity.
