The combination of a wiki and a mailing list or message
board -- the latter for ongoing discussion, the former
for recording the results of settled decisions -- seems
to work fairly well. The collaborative conlang at artlangs.com
was going well a while ago (I had to drop out because
of a long illness and haven't checked on it recently);
that site uses Drupal, which combines wiki-like features
with a message board system.
For auxlang design, however, I would think the
starting point should be studying the existing auxlang
projects -- especially those that have some small
community involved in them -- to decide whether yet
another one is really truly needed... but this is a topic
for the other list (auxlang@listserv.brown.edu).
