I don't think it's just religious. I'd consider the Fourth of July,
Martin LUther King Day, Thanksgiving (well, that's semi-religious), New
Year's, Presidents' Day, etc., as holidays. A holiday is any day you
get off work. If it's more than one day, then it's "vacation"
