In Géarthnuns, "nuns" (/nu~s/) is an archaic word meaning "language"
(the modern word is "mölkarhars"
(/mYlka"hRars/)). "Géarths" is the relationship between the monarch
and his/her people, fealty and noblesse oblige rolled into one. Hence
"Géarthnuns" (/ge"arTnu~s/), loosely, is the "language of loyalty",
spoken on Géarthtörs.
