Otherwise, I think these are all excellent suggestions.

In line with Sai's comment "what if you *had* heard something in the media
indicating there were thousands more out there just like you, and pointed
you to how to find them?)"-- I first read about Klingon and the Klingon
dictionary, the KLI, etc. in TIME mag.  I rushed right out and bought the
dictionary.
