Introducing Nikhil Sinha

Dear Conlangers,  

I've been having a private conversation with Nikhil Sinha, who claims to have
subscribed to the group but can't seem to post anything. I gave Nikhil
directions to LISTSERV@LISTSERV@BROWN.EDU on how to resubscribe and how to post
to CONLANG, but N. is still having trouble. Can anyone walk Nikhil through a
resubscription? Nikhil might have joined through YAHOO. N. can read your posts
but can't send any. You might have to talk to this young newcomer privately:

Perhaps my directions were faulty.

I'm sorry I can't seem to determine your gender, Nikhil. Chalk that up to
ignorance about some Indic names. :((

 Do you get bounced if you reply to the list? If you are properly subscribed,
you should be able to reply to anyone's message and have it posted. You might
go check your settings--the information that was given you when you subscribed,
and see that you're not set up for "read only." Also, if you subscribed through
Yahoo, that might make problems for you. Most people subscribe through the
Brown University Listserv:

  Write to:  LISTSERV@LISTSERV.BROWN.EDU
  Skip the header, and write first line in the message box

  SUBSCRIBE [YOUR NAME] CONLANG   or SUBSCRIBE CONLANG [YOUR NAME]   One of those will work.

 If you want to post an original message, without replying to someone's post,
you write to CONLANG:
