Real person... Writer Philip K. Dick is a.k.a. "Horselover Fat" (he came up with this himself)

Book is great... movie is great... two seperate entities (yep, the movie is _based_ on the book... but if the book was to be faithfully "transcribed" to cinematic form one is talking "long epic" a la Fassbinder or Bertolucci... or at worst, a TV mini-series...) czHANg
