I just came to think of one thing. In Sweden, there's a guy whose hobby is
spotting ornithologists.
He's out there, in the woods, with his binoculars, having a list of active
ornithology-hobbyists, looking for them, adding checks in a checklist when
he's spotted one he hasn't seen before.
Is meta-hobbies the next big thing? I mean, spotting ornithologists and
classifying (or collecting samples of) conlangs aren't that far from each
others - except that Janko can do his work from local libraries computers,
whileas that Swede has to travel halfway through Sweden on occasion!
This makes sense; the Swede's both making a good spoof and acknowledging
that the hobby is interesting. Janko's _only_ acknowledging our hobby's
being interesting.
Just my two cents.
