This is one reason why making an effective auxlang is not a
simple task and can
easily be underestimated. Especially in forums like these,
the chicken that
believes it can fly like an eagle will soon be escorted to
the dinner table.

(I won't say anything more about auxlangs qua auxlangs
here.)

Now, if you can, you can join the CONLANG list at this page:
http://listserv.brown.edu/archives/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=conlang
&A=1

and show us your language and its features *as they are, by
themselves*, but
(and this is the important part) CONLANG [1] is not a place
to sell, persuade,
convince, argue, or even, really, laud the merits of any
language over any other
language

don't be so hard on Lu Su, pretty please!
it would be great that other non-indoeuropean native
speakers be part of this list (and i hope Lu Su won't flee
from here). i found it difficult enough to figure out how to
subscribe and i wonder how non-native speakers with even
dodgier english abilities than mine can manage it. once they
do it, i guess they are entitled to witness on CONLANG that
blunt plural, tense affixes/flexions, articles and the like
are very puzzling and even irking to him/her, aren't they? i
feel free here to say that i have felt frustrated with stuff
like greek optative, hebrew verbs and japanese homonyms.
although i designed my own conlang to get rid of all the
above, i still consider myself a conlanger (more
specifically a "hoaxlanger"), yet not an auxlanger. some
conlangers find it aesthetically appealing to thrive on a
dozen cases and to put in the sale two boxes of lateral
fricatives for the price of one while some others like to
repeat after me "you-me bonga-bonga". Toki Pona is a
conlang, isn't it? QAFT i am aware that in the case that Lu
Su were inferring that an auxlang should not feature a
mandatory plural affix, then he/she should rather develop
this topic on AUXLANG --does that list still exist btw?
