Not really, I've first come across the phrase in eighties English
computer magazines describing some games with speedloaders for the
ZX-Spectrum. Those were the days when your software arrived on
ordinary audio cassesttes, and often in a misguided attempt at making
the game both more difficult to copy with a double tape-deck
_and_ quicker to load, the software house fiddled with the loading
routine, instead of using the standard that worked reliable. (Little
Microsofts, all of them.)
