I've been making up words for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't
until around 1977 or 1978 that I started putting them together into
languages. _Star Wars_ was certainly an influence, but there isn't much =
in
the early languages specifically inspired by the movie or its sequels.
Tolkien was a later influence, but I'd already started designing =
languages
before reading LotR. Esperanto may have been another influence. But I =
think
I probably would have gone on designing languages without these =
influences,
and it's more likely that my interest in conlanging was one thing that
attracted me to Esperanto and Tolkien's languages.
(My result was also INTP, btw.)
