- Well, if it's a Romance language spoken in an area or environment in which its Romanceness distinguishes it from the other languages around it, you could just take a form of the word "Latin", "Romance" or "Roman", the way Ladino and Romanian do. Conhistorically, until it was accepted and adopted as their national vernacular by the majority of the Judean population, Judajca was known by its Hebrew name _Italcit_ "Italian" - and by less polite names ;-) . -Stephen (Steg), brother of the Left-Handed Lithuanian "Dievas dave dantis; Dievas duos duonos."
