Well... _barman_ /'barrman/ will more probably become _barmans_ /'barrman=
s/ in plural...
but _barmen_ /'barrmen/ will also appear... I will have to check other ex=
amples. Academic
people would tell you to either use the foreign word plural _barmen_ or t=
he standard
Spanish one _b=E1rmanes_ /'barrmanes/.
Some other examples: _radar_ /rra'darr/ -> _radares_ /rra'dares/ (for a r=
adar
instalation), led /leD/ -> leds /lets/ (for light emiting diodes), driver=
/'drajBerr/ ->
drivers /'drajBerrs/... probably it has to do on how foreign the word sou=
nds, like _radar_
which is pronounced with an standard pronunciation, and _driver_ with an =
alien
pronunciation, then the plural of /'rradarr/ would probably be /'rradarrs=
/ and the plural
of /dri'Berr/ would be /dri'Beres/.

Well, they were my foults in transcribing English pronunciations... put =
probably
hypercorrections will also happen.
