Well... you *are* supposed to pay for it, you know.
You could always use Info-ZIP's zip & unzip programs; they're real
freeware, and available for a host of platforms including Windows and
Macintosh. See http://www.info-zip.org/ (or
http://www.info-zip.org/UnZip.html if you're mainly interested in the
unzipper).
And supposed John Cowan (some of you may have heard of him) contributed
some code to an early version of Info-ZIP's unzip -- now if that isn't
a celebrity endorsement! (See the bottom of
http://mercury.ccil.org/~cowan/notme.html .)
