Indeed, my computer diudn't have Winzip either when I first got it :(( . Still,
it's not much of a problem since Winzip is free (officially it's shareware, but
its free version is complete and without time limit, with the only difference
that it always shows the register window when you start it). And if you're
annoyed with Winzip's register window, you can always download Filzip, which is
basically the same and is this time true freeware. I personally have both, on
account that some files that Winzip fails to open can sometimes be opened by
Filzip and vice-versa (strange but true ;) ). You easily download them from
CNET.com or other equivalent sites.

Well, I think it would still be easier to just download Winzip. I first did
that too (although I can download at work, so I got one step less than you),
and it becomes tedious very fast. And as I said, Winzip and Filzip are actually
free, so why not enjoy them at home too? (and no, I don't receive anything from
the creators of those two programs ;))) . It's just that as a common user of
big files, I know how useful they are)
Christophe.
