Here are several versions of the North Wind story (the official version is
in the IPA manual I think; it's standard for phonetic examples):

No, but it would do. But I clearly remember translations of one on Conlang by several people... Aha, here's the original: --(all one line) or look up June 2000, week 3, "Conlangea Multilingual Phrasebook, 2nd Ed." I didn't realize it was that early. Maybe some of the newer members will take a stab at it!!
