Well, since the verb spearates the noun from the possessive, I'm under the
impression that the possessive is more a pronoun here, and that the whole thing
is more a "a son is mine" structure (equating), rather than "my son exists"
(existing) like in Quechua (where the possessive is an affix on the noun IIRC).

But the difference between the two constructions is probably quite small :)) .
