You probably had the 0.9 version. The 1.0 version is the first non-free
version, and has been released this very month :)) .

The only problem with vertical script is that it's nearly impossible in simple
text editors to mix it with horizontal script. Even big word processors like
Word don't really handle vertical scripts together with horizontal scripts.
There are editors for vertical scripts, or editors that can have both
directions, but never for the same file.
