I'd say that the |hm| corresponds with the [v]. This means that the gd or
gdh corresponds with [d]. I go for |gdh|.
A final combination of |is| would likely make the |s| = [z]. In addition,
the |i| has its own function. This is, perhaps, influenced by [part of]
the bg cluster or the final s.

I'm going to say that this letter is |g|. I think that a final |is| would
normally be pronounced [Iz], but |a| would not usually be [E]. Then |ab|
would make [E] and |g| would lengthen it.
