As others have pointed out, <gracias> is properly spelled thus and pronounced /'gra(z)jas/ although the trisyllabic /'gra.(z)i.jas/~/'gra.(z)I.j@s/ is common among non-native speakers. The (z) represents either /s/ or /T/ depending on region. The combination <ia> forms the rising diphthong /ja/; the two-nucleus sequence /ia/ is spelled <ía>. But to get back to your actual question, I've seen "adjectivali(s|z)er" used in this context before. -- Mark J. Reed <markjreed@...>
