Well, that's partly the role of the French reflexive: 1.) Ils parlent. 2.) Ils se parlent. Though the form without reflexive can also have a reciprocal meaning. The reflexive is used mostly to disambiguate or insist on the reciprocal action. Christophe. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr
