New findings on hiphop English from my daily walk to uni:
The final /@/ seems to vary due to the preceding
consonant.
hooker - velar -> [hUkV]
matter - alveo -> [ma*@]
power - labvel -> [pawo] or perhaps some kind of rounded
schwa.
Words like 'for' and 'more' become [fo:] or even [fo:@].

Aha. Interesting! Another example I found is 'suddenly'
pronounced [sV?@nlI] and it certainly (another example :) )
fits the rule.
