Sounds absolutely fascinating! Almost makes me want to be a student again.
(Please note the word "almost" :-) )
But seriously, have you given any thought to: as the lang progresses, using
phrases from the lang in your
lectures and encouraging the students to use them in (and out?) of class?
IMHO it might add another layer
of "special" to an already special experience.
