Given the context of this list, I immediately called it [mA'gEl], faster
[m@'gEl]--
but probably a mind untainted by any knowledge of linguistics would come up
with ['m&gl=]. (cf. snaggle, baggage-- |-agg-| would be [&g]; |-ogg-| would
be [Ag] as in boggle, toggle. Not very many Engl. bisyllables with final
|-el|, except borrowed "bagel" ['bejgl=])
