Happily to say, my DNS service is back in order. I've put some additional
contingency into the setup, so that I will still receive mail during minor
failures. It still won't solve the problem if the DNS server completely
goes down like it did yesterday and earlier today; but at least minor
failures won't affect me as much now.
That said, I'm glad to be able to jump back into conlang discussions :-P
