the reason for this is that the IPA doesn't have symbols for all the
sounds in kxqqhwiiallccre (retroflex, palatal, and pharyngeal trills;
retroflex, palatal, velar, and uvular lateral fricatives; pharyngeal
stop...), which makes it impossible to write readable X-SAMPA to
represent it... i noticed a mistake in that, though. it should be:
[l`_rL_q_02L\L_r N\_o_oL_q{_0j\_r h\L_qY_0{N\_o_ol`l`_rF j\_r{_0FHYk_q
yFz`_rL{_0L\]
of course if you're using an X-SAMPA translator, you should change the
{'s to &'s and it might choke on the N\_o_o (anyone know of a better way
to represent a uvular lateral fricative?)...
