Begs the question of what level of technology / society
are we invlolved with? I know there can be a range even
within modern language families, but it'd be nice to
sort this out early on. I don't want to go into this
expecting Bronze Age Nomads, only to find out that they're
about to sweep down out of the high steppes into the
middle of an intergalactic metropolitan space port.

I certainly wouldn't mind his language being there as a
"neighbouring" but unrelated language. In the way IE langs
borrow from non-IE languages.
