That sounds fine. Are we going to decide on the geography of the planet early on to place the beginings of the human race, if so there is a program called Fractal Terrains available from ProFantasy, it creates planets. Whoever is starting this can download a demo version at http://www.profantasy.com/index.html and create the planet. after which we can choose areas where we our cultures will develop. If nothing else it will give us a nice map to play with. I was planing on purchasing this if you'd like to wait, and I could design it.

I think this type of connection to an established universe could cause some of the problems we are trying to avoid by not placing this on our Earth. Also how realistic do we want it, is it going to be just like earth, with just different languages and countries or is Magic going to be real, is there going to be a non-human intelligent race co-existing., etc. If we are going to allow for some fantastical things then sure, if not, then no. I am leaving for 5 days(GenCon) and will be back on Monday so don't forget that I'm in on this. :) Later Mario
