Indeed. French verse is purely syllable-based. It makes it very difficult for me to appreciate stressed-based verse. It usually "does't fit" in my ears (I can't hear the intended rhythm). Mora-based verse is easier to appreciate, which is probably why I like Japanese singing so much :)) .

Actually, since the rules of SolReSol oblige you to pause after each word, I'm not sure it is that well-suited to poetry. It doesn't sound *that* nice actually :)) .
