Two ideas-
A program to analyse the phonemic inventory of a language and extract the
minimal set of distinctive features necessary to describe it.
A program which takes a sound recording of spoken language, analyses the
statistical distribution of acoustic features (e.g. using wavelets), and
then generates plausible sets of sound changes.
