I had written:

Correction, this is written ga'ndro, /'go~.dr@/ is correct. This comes
from the Old Watakassi' (my new name for W., for those who missed my
recent post) ga'nol. /'ga.nol/ --> /'ga.n@l/ --> /'ga.n@r/ -->
/'gaw.n@r/ --> /'gow.n@r/ --> /'gow.nr@/ --> /'gown.dr@/ --> /'gow~.dr@/
--> /'go~.dr@/ In Standard Watakassi', this became ga'nul. One dialect
of Eastern has shortened it to one syllable, ga'nrd - /go~rd/, by
metathesis of the /dr/, and elimination of the schwa (which is always
eliminated when possible).
