Another. BTW the Sefardic element is negligible: most NA adherents of
Judaism are of Native proselyte descent in my conhistory. I don't know if
there would remain any unmixed descendants of the Medieval
immigrants. What's the general attitude towards intermarriage with
proselytes anyway?
The reason Maneyx doesn't fit into my own conhistory is that the Norman
Invasion never took place -- or more exactly was repelled by the joint
efforts of the English and the Norse army that just had defeated king
Harold at Stamford Bridge. The English élite were quick to acknowledge
Tostig's claim to the throne and "friendship" with the Norse when the news
of duke William's landing at Hastings reached them. In that universe a
Norse language on Man could hardly hold its own.
