I usually hear [mEg@n]. I knew a girl, tho, who went by [mig@n] (tho,
many people used the common [mEg@n] pronunciation)

Interesting. How do you get that from "Jarrod"? Are medial -rr-
normally silent for you? The use of /e:/ ([ej]?) seems odd to me, too.
