Obviously I use them where necessary, but when choosing between perfect and
imperfect tenses, I almost always use the imperfect (as do most people
around here).
Perhaps a love of imperfect tense is genetic. My dad even subsitutes it for
present forms. ("Let's went!")>>
Ummm...'went' isn't imperfect, it's simple past, effectively the same as the
perfect. The imperfect would be 'was going'.
