Hi!
I have the lexicon of Tyl Sjok at hand now and have inserted time
units.
njati second. a base unit (smallest irregular time unit)
(the new entry :->)
kul two
kul njati second second; minute
kul il njati to the second power of a second: minute
hen three
hen njati third second; hour
hen il njati to the third power of a second: hour
xjun four
xjun njati fourth second; day
xjun il njati to the fourth power of a second: day
kyng five
kyng njati fifth second; week
kyng il njati to the fifth power of a second: week
exul six
exul njati sixth second; month
exul il njati to the sixths power of a second: month
ljehu seven
ljehu njati seventh second; year
ljehu il njati to the seventh power of a second: year
The 'il' makes the power explicit. Otherwise it is ambiguous whether
its an ordinal, which has to be resolved from context.
And 'I was born on the 16th of May, 2003.' would then be:
La xyt jo hw
to-turn state-of-being-born I-PAT happen-when
ljehu njati hen kjox kul wng hen -- year 2003
7 second 3 10 2 and 3
wng exul njati kyng -- month May
and 6 second 5
wng xjun njati kjox ling exul. -- day 16
and 4 second 10 1 6
(Instead of 'kjox ling exul' you may also say 'kjox wng exul')
Literally, this means:
'I (was) turned into the state of being born on...'.
Further, one is allowed to specify the date with weeks. Then:
...
wng exul njati kyng
and 6 second 5 -- month May
wng xjun njati kul -- week 2
and 5 second 2
wng xjun njati kul. -- day 2
and 4 second 2
