God, this is frustrating. I think I've got the Swedish tone/pitch thing down, but without a native speaker to bounce off of, it's hard to nail down. The guy on the *one* tape I've got sounds pretty cool, but the woman sounds like she has a speech impediment or something --to me, her speech is heavily nasalized and pitch goes counter to what I think is supposed to happen. Back in Taiwan, one used to get a Swedish film every now and again to practice, but now that I'm back in the godd ol' USofA, I'm skeptical about ever seeing a foreign film in the original language again (well, I do get Univision and a Portuguese channel - more language books to buy).
