Hey all.
I've never been able to decide on the orthography - or even
phonology & phonotactics - for Rinya, so this is likely to
change, but I guess this is true of all conlangs. Hopefully you
guys don't change as often as I do, though. :) The Rinya
phonology as of today is likely to remain like this for some
time though, since I don't have the time to change it. :)
Anyway, here goes:
Qheil rynenya alandea! Rinya lawea!
And an interlinear:
qheil ryn-enya aland-ea
death:PAT language:PL-DAT fight-IMP
'Fight death of languages!'
rinya law-ea
language:PAT create-IMP
'Create a language!'
PAT = Patient (or rather Undergoer)
DAT = Dative
IMP = Imperative
Some notes that may be of interest:
aland- fight for a righteous cause
anard- fight for an unjustified cause
[ These are of course heavily subjective and _aland-_
tends to be used very often to describe the fight from
your own point of view, whatever side you're on. :) ]
selu- death from natural cause [such as age]
qheil- death from violence [mental or physical]
lhae- death from sickness of disease
[ _qheil-_ is also used when a person gets so (mentally
or physically) bullied that he or she commits suicide.
Cf. the way most languages are extinguished. ]
lau- create abstract things, imagine
hyel- create concrete things, build
[ Derived from _lau-_ is also _lawit_ 'playful mind'. ]
