I prefer a conlang where there's no voiceless consonants. I've tried it but
I had to choose among 3 things I didn't want to keep my phonology large
enough: voiceless consonants, larger consonant list using velar/uvular or
dental/alveolar/post-alveolar distinctions, or length, tones, and nasal
distinctions...
I've chose to add a length contrast on only one vowel (/i/-/i:/) and to add
/p t k/ BUT with a contrast between aspirated and unaspirated. I like that
contrast because it gives what seems like homophonous for unexperimented
hearers
The only of such contrast I can think of now is "kaivb" /kai)bv/ wich is the
root for "to love", and "khaivb" wich is the one for "to be green"
