All told, I took roughly six years of French in school (4th, 5th, 6th, 8th,
11th, 12th grades). (All of them manditory -- a desperate, vain attempt to
preserve our Cajun French heritage*.) But I dont remember hardly any of it
b/c I dont get a chance to use it... The most exercise my French gets is
pronoucing names and streets and stuff (names: Thibodeaux, Benoit, Duson,
etc) (streets: La Maison Rd, etc).

*If they wanted to preserve Cajun French, why did all of my teachers come
from Quebec?
