I didn't see any Cyrillic in your message, which I'm guessing is because
you're just switching fonts, not characters. You can't reliably send
Cyrillic through email, but your best bet is Unicode using the UTF-8
encoding, which I and several others on the list - but by no means
everyone - can read and write.
For example, here's a snippet of Moscow Nights:

Не слышны в саду дажэ шорохи Nje slyshny v sadu dazhe shorokhi
Всё здесь замерло до утра Vsjo zdjes' zamjerlo do utra
