And loads of other languages, including English:
/ka:zj@/ > /k'e:z@/ > /tSi:z/ (cheese) (k'=palatalized k, because of
following front vowel)
/ki:ld/ > /k'i:ld/ > /tSaild/ (child)
/kirk/ > /k'irk/ > /tSr=tS/ (church)
etc.
