Actually, I have a friend who posted one or two messages here, and is
either lurking, or continuing with his life ;) who has been plagued
with the curse of being able to produce an unvoiced apical alveolar
trill, but not being able to voice it!
It's very perplexing, when he tries to voice it it goes all awry. It
actually sounds like he's articulating it a bit further back from the
alveolar ridge than normal, but I can articulate it like that and
still voice it.
Anyhoo, could there be an explanation? :P
