Agulunulative. ah-gu-'LUNE-yoo-la'tiv.

Okay, here's a great new word in search
of a meaning. It needs to be broken down into its
parts, though: to lunulate; I'm sure this must mean
to howl in the light of the moon, especially with one of
those wavering howls. Agu is anybody's guess as well as
mine, but I think it could mean "to do something with a
cold." So: agulunulative means given to howling like
a siren by moonlight with a stuffy nose. It's quite an
eery thing. Even wierder are the people given to it.

So you saw my "hirie," did you? heh heh... It was very naughty of me. I have quite a little lexicon growing of words from other people's conlangs. Does anybody else do this? Hirie, from Valdyan: "nyah nyah." Ex. "Hirie, I told you so." Smalk, from Draseleq: "skeleton." Ex. That's a smalk idea! (meaning ghostly and dreadful and cool) Kemet, from Tokana: a collection of objects that whirl around and take off, like blown leaves or flocks of birds. Ex. "My mind is in a kemet of confusion." Lamay, from Denden: a charming, naughty little poem or lay: Ex. "Sing me a lamay, darling." (Bear in mind, that their induction into Teonaht changes their original meaning somewhat. Maybe even their spelling: smalk-->smalik in T.) What other cool words have you noted from other people's conlangs? I seem to remember "vrindo" from I've forgotten whom. It sounds VERY Teonaht, which is why I noted it. Sally
