home as in "I'm sitting at home" : Ta/ me/ i mo shui/ i mo bhaile.
Usually, yes, it is more like (home)town. mo chonai/ is usually used for
"residence, and in a construction for "I live in..." but it wouldn't be
used alone very often (at least, I never heard it except in the one phrase:
Ta/ me/ i mo chonai/ i...). "House" would usually be translated as _teach_
/tS&x or tSax/. Ví is usually pronounced /i/ whereas short i is usually
/I/, as in peen or pin, respectively.
