Bad news folks. The website is down for the time being; beforehand it was
extremely S L O W. Too bad, because it's a great website for researching
phonologies (all natlangs except E-o). It'll save you a trip to the library.
The Alan S. Kaye book I recommeded earlier, _Phonologies of Asia and
Africa_, is an expensive two-volume work, but it should be at a good
university library (Perry-Castaneda here at UT-Austin just got it!). The
biblical _The World's Major Languages_ has a few plus grammatical sketches
(mostly I-E languages) and other data.
Another good book: _The World's Writing Systems_, edited by Kaye and Peter
T. Daniels. It has orthographies and phonologies.
