I am increasingly finding typos to be the objet trouve gems of
conlanging. What does this one mean? Not a resemblance to Nero,
for that would be _Neronicism_. Some sort of portmanteau of
_necroticism_ and _eroticism_? -- Very compelling. What, then,
would _ecroticism_ mean? Do nerot- and ecrot- mean anything in
Greek? My Liddell Scott is in my other flat, so I try
www.perseusproject.com (what the fuck is that all about?), find
a load of shite, and then work my way to
http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/resolveform but find no evidence there of
these forms in Greek.
Any further suggestions about the meaning of this word, I would
welcome.
