Nindic Demonstratives

The main demonstratives of Nindic are:
Singular Plural
eir(íd) that over there, yonder eirín(ad)
mer(ed) that merín(ad)
mír(ed) this mírín(ad)
They all follow the noun they modify (in speech at
least) and require the noun to take the
pre-demonstrative form, ending in -ar, -r. The parts
in parentheses are definite suffixes, which are used
to emphasis the demonstrative, since its already
definite.
One demonstrative does not follow the noun and does
not require the noun to be in a pre-demonstrative
form. This demonstrative is only used in set phrases,
mostly pertaining to time. The form of this
demonstrative is (h)y /i/ or /hi/
y tho today
(from: Old Nindic hy tho /hI To/
from: Pre-Old Nindic *hittjon
from: Common Nindic *sidsjon
from: Silinestic *sid sjon
(Silindion: si "thus, so" *sid
ihyon "today" *je-sjon )
And the others will not be traced to their roots:
y new tonight
y doi yesterday
y honiad this morning
y ddacho this year
y ddos tomorrow
y chawddo this week
