Me too! Fortunately, it seems that the change /Ej/ -> /Aj/ is occuring only in
the North of the Netherlands. The South (at least the places I know) seem to
keep /Ej/ quite well (while they are aware of the change occuring in the North).
It seems that people from the South see their dialects as more aesthetic as the
northern dialects (at least it's an opinion I've often heard), so maybe that's
the reason why /Ej/ is maintained...
