Deserret (I think that's the spelling) was ONLY a spelling system. The
Mormons never tried to speak another language.

Yiddish is descended from a dialect of Old (Middle?) High German, but it
has had a lot of influence from many languages, especially Hebrew and
the Slavic langs.

Related to Spanish. It seems that Mideavil Jews had a lot of
in-languages. Of course, being an oppressed minority thru most of
European history, it makes sense that they'd have languages to bind
themselves closer together and differentiate themselves from the
gentiles.
