Ah, yes. I've read of that belief. However, for the Faithful Ones,
there are 4 positive elements, 4 negative elements, and 4 primary
mixtures (AKA secondary elements), arranged in triads, as such:
Water-Salt-Ocean
Fire-Ash-Wood
Air-Earth-Body
Soul-Spiritual.Earth-Mind
Spiritual Earth is a theoretical substance which binds the soul to this
world.
These triads are directly connected with the triads of
positive.force-negative.force-balance, as such:
Life-Death-Life.Death (Ocean)
Good.Luck-Bad.Luck-Luck (Wood)
Love-Hate-Relations (Body)
Good-Evil-Morals (Mind)
Every living thing has the life-death balance, and it's believed that
they are also all subject to Luck, but only certain higher animals have
love and hate, and only sentient beings (Humans and Natives) have
morals. So, the order is quite logical in their world-view.
